Bay Primary School
Every Day Every ChildAs children approach and move into an ever-changing world, we help them build relationships, teach them to communicate and encourage and support them so they may thrive as individuals.
What Makes Bay Unique?
At Bay Primary, we know your child’s name. In fact, we know everyone’s name. This is because we operate differently from other schools.
Here’s what makes the Bay Family truly unique:
- We offer Individual Attention. This allows us to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where your child can thrive. Smaller classes allow for individual teacher attention.
- We can focus on the Whole Child. We hone in on all aspects of your child’s development: academic, sport, physical, emotional, social, and practical. The result is balanced, confident, and self-assured children.
- We have the distinct benefit of Two Unique Campuses. We ascribe to the international standard of splitting junior and senior primary phases.
Fish Hoek Junior Campus (Grades R-4) receive age-appropriate attention with fewer distractions from the activities, attitudes and behaviours of an older age cohort.
Kalk Bay Senior Campus (Grades 5-7) offers a supported focus on tween-appropriate interactions, life skills development, and leadership opportunities.
Our Environment
Bay Primary is a happy, diverse and accepting environment. Our teachers are experienced and aware of your child’s individual needs, because their hearts are in the work they do. Essential skills and life values are taught in well-equipped, small classes. Our school is invested in each child and our learning support programme is functional and inclusive.

Bay is an Eco School
The programme accredits schools that make a commitment to continuously improve their school’s environmental performance.
The programme is active in 67 countries around the world and has been implemented in South Africa since 2003 by WESSA. The programme is aimed at creating awareness and action around environmental sustainability in schools and their surrounding communities as well as supporting Education for Sustainable Development in the national curriculum. With over 50% of the content in some CAPS subjects being environmental in nature, Eco-Schools makes a positive contribution towards improving education in South Africa.
Since 2003 more than 4500 schools across all nine provinces have participated in the programme.
After Care
After Care is available at both campuses for an additional fee. Contact Karen on aftercarejpc@bayprimary.co.za for information and application forms.
